About this website

Singapore Statutes Online ("SSO") is the official website for Singapore's legislation. SSO is owned by the Singapore Government and is managed by the Legislation Division of the Attorney-General's Chambers of Singapore.

SSO carries the following content:

  1. Acts of Parliament and Subsidiary Legislation;
  2. Revised editions of Acts and Subsidiary Legislation;
  3. Bills tabled in Parliament;
  4. Act Supplements, new Subsidiary Legislation and Amending Subsidiary Legislation published each year;
  5. Historical versions of legislation; and
  6. PDF versions of legislation (where available).

SSO does not carry the following content:

  1. Commencement Notifications of Acts published before 15 September 1998; and
  2. Notifications published in the Gazette that are not subsidiary legislation.

About the Legislation Division of AGC

The Legislation Division is Singapore's central law drafting office. The Division is responsible for drafting laws for the effective implementation of Government policies and public sector programmes. The Division also advises the Government and other public sector agencies on the development and translation of public policies into legislation and the initial implementation of legislation, and ensures 24/7 online public access to Singapore legislation.

SSO provides the unofficial version of Singapore's legislation. The legislation content of SSO is not and should not be relied upon as the authoritative text of Singapore's legislation. Section 48 of the Interpretation Act (Cap. 1) does not apply to any print-out from SSO.

While every effort is made to keep SSO up to date, the Government of Singapore makes no warranty or representation as to its accuracy or completeness. Users of SSO should obtain professional legal advice as to the content, application and interpretation of Singapore's legislation.

The Government of Singapore does not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage, whether actual, anticipated, consequential, economic or otherwise, that may arise from the use or reliance on SSO by any person.
